Advantages of Travel Nursing over ad hoc temping nursing in the UK and Ireland.
Travel Nursing is becoming popular here in the UK as a way for nurses to experience different nursing environments across the UK and Ireland. We have outlined some of the advantages below.
Mimimum Hours. On a travel nursing assignment, you are assigned to a unit and are guaranteed minimum working hours - typcially 37.5 hours per week.
Flexible Off Duty. Your off duty is set by the ward so you can plan your life around your days off. Health Professionals has assignments in some amazing locations so lots of opportunities to explore.
Minimum Contract Length. The ability to set minimum contract length is very useful so you can plan future assignments. We always like to provide assurances to the length of contract so you do not have to worry about the availability of work for the time on assignments. In most cases, we will negotiate a mimimum three month contract for you initially.
Accommodation. Accommodation is arranged - either on site or a shared house is organised. Health Professionals will always look for the best accommodation possible as we believe this aspect can really make a travel assignment work well.
Fantastic Rates. We are aware that some new travel nurse companies are offering lower rates than NHS nursing work but we ensure our rates are actually a lot more than average and when you take the whole package into account - ie free or subsidised accommodation, free flights etc., it works out a lot more than standard agency pay say in London.
If you have recently experienced travel nursing in the UK, please tell us about your experience.
